For pre-service, include your university and name of your education professor. For early career teachers, include your starting year and the name of a literacy colleague.

MCTE Fall Workshop featuring KYLENE BEERS & BOB PROBST, co-authors Notice and Note: Strategies for Close Reading, Reading Nontiction: Notice and Note Stances, Signposts, and Strategies; Disrupting Thinking: Why How We Read Matters.

Bob and Kylene are excited to return to as our fall workshop speakers. Join them for a day of learning as they share tools for helping kids dive deep into a text, think critically about the text, and reflect on what the text means to them. Not only will they share strategies that help students read fiction and nonfiction, but they will also share engagement and vocabulary strategies. It’s a day of learning and laughter as they share strategies from their books and from their forthcoming book on teaching vocabulary.

Registration includes MCTE membership, continental breakfast, and lunch. All registrations must be made through this site. You may pay by credit card or by sending a check.

Shortly after the invoice, you will receive a confirmation email.
